ASHTON JONES |

"A rising star of Soul and Funk Music" - Cheltenham Jazz Festival.
"Proudly carrying the spirit of James Brown and Tower of Power" - SoulTracks.com
Ashton Jones is a powerhouse vocalist and electrifying live performer who fuses soul, funk, jazz, and R&B into a sound that’s both timeless and contemporary. Inspired by legends like James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, Rick James, and Prince, his music is driven by gritty funk grooves, soulful melodies, and flashes of falsetto that captivate audiences wherever he performs.
A seasoned performer, Ashton has appeared on some of the world’s most iconic stages, delivering sold-out shows at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, the London Palladium, and The Jazz Café. In 2024, he took centre stage at the Royal Albert Hall with the BBC Concert Orchestra for The Sound of Philadelphia | a tribute to one of soul music’s most influential eras. The Telegraph awarded the show five stars, calling Ashton “talented and charismatic.” He was also a featured artist at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival’s inaugural Soul Jazz Summit alongside Gregory Porter and Beverley Knight, performing with the BBC Concert Orchestra and Guy Barker’s Big Band.
As the creative force behind The Ashton Jones Project, his original music channels the spirit of 70s funk and soul, reimagined through a modern lens. His debut album 'Toast' received widespread acclaim, was featured on Spotify’s ‘All Funked Up’ editorial playlist, and has racked up over a million global streams. Craig Charles called the release “phenomenal,” and Vanguard Magazine praised it as “if Earth, Wind & Fire and Stevie Wonder worked together and got Prince in for a guest spot.”

Ashton’s collaborations include work with Beverley Knight, Shalamar, Incognito, and PB Underground. He also co-created 'Funk Soul Orchestral: James Brown vs Prince' with longtime collaborator Harry Greene. The show premiered with back-to-back sell-outs at Ronnie Scott’s in 2022 and earned a five-star review from Close-Up Culture Magazine, describing Ashton as leading “with a mix of panache, never-ending energy, and passion.”

Beyond the stage, Ashton is an in-demand studio and television vocalist. He has lent his voice to global commercial campaigns, including Amazon’s international advert singing Freddie Scott’s classic 'You Got What I Need', and recently appeared on Dancing With The Stars, bringing his dynamic vocal style to a primetime audience.
With sold-out concerts, headline festival slots, high-profile collaborations, and a growing international presence, Ashton Jones continues to push the boundaries of modern soul | delivering every performance with unmatched energy, musicianship, and charisma.
