In 2024, he took centre stage at the Royal Albert Hall with the BBC Concert Orchestra for The Sound of Philadelphia | a tribute to one of soul music’s most influential eras. The Telegraph awarded the show five stars, calling Ashton “talented and charismatic.” He was also a featured artist at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival’s inaugural Soul Jazz Summit alongside Gregory Porter and Beverley Knight, performing with the BBC Concert Orchestra and Guy Barker’s Big Band.
